Extra Thoughts--Now with Google Chrome
I have to say that the new Blogger behind-the-scenes look isn't just overly appealing, but I suppose I'll get used to it. More urgent was the fact that Blogger recently decided that IE7 is just too, too ancient and no longer supports it, so I could only blog from Firefox on this site. Do-able (especially after FF fixed the bug whereby links would not go in the proper places on Blogger), but Firefox and my somewhat elderly computer (I've finally decided it is seven or eight years old) don't always get along. Various other IE7 problems were coming up, and I have finally given in and bought a new desktop with Windows 7 and IE9. (In the course of that I lost access to Adblock Pro, which is great for IE 7 but apparently doesn't work with IE9. Rats.) The transition will be somewhat painful, but one compensation: Unlike XP, which often (always?) didn't support Chrome, Windows 7 does. I like it. Super-intuitive, lovely ad blocking software. And Blogger likes it. (Of course.)
Not that this means I'll be posting on here particularly more often. But at least I can do it from software that is fully compatible with the blog. Hurrah! Now if I can just get this dad-gummed New Blogger dashboard figured out...

Strangely enough I've found that Google Chrome for the Mac is totally incompatible with Blogger. In fact the only Mac browser that seems happy with Blogger is Camino, which is sort of like Firefox Lite.
The new Blogger interface is awful, IMHO.
I've never even heard of Camino. The transition from Win XP to Win 7 is traumatic enough for me (buying new software, etc.), so I won't be going to Mac any time soon! Agree about the new Blogger interface. Hideous.
Not only is your IE7 not supported by Blogger, but now they're telling me my IE8 isn't either, not with the new interface at any rate. I use XP and Chrome and have had no problems. But the new Blogger interface is so ugly that I may be migrating to Wordpress. Or something.
And one has no choice but to use the new interface. One fine day one shows up and...the page is blank. "Sorry, you're using the wrong browser." Grrr.
I was tempted to go that route as well, but Wordpress is a nightmare.
You've been quite kind to Blogger about their new interface. I can't stand it! And I tried linking my Blogger account with Google+ and it got even worse. I quickly switched back. YIKES!
Ah, Google plus. Thereby hangs a tale. I got an e-mail from google saying that some blog of mine (this is the only google blog I have) would become inaccessible if I didn't upgrade by May something-or-other. It looks like at some point I set up a google account with my yahoo e-mail address. This blog is associated with my gmail address.
Anyway, I didn't read the fine print or I would have seen the disclaimer that said, "If you've logged into your blog since 2007, this doesn't apply to you."
Turns out there _is_ no second blog, just a dangling pointless extra google account. But I walked through a bunch of steps nonetheless which culminated in my setting up a Google plus account which I did not want. (I've since suppressed it.)
It was only after that that I realized that the original e-mail couldn't have anything to do with this blog.
Google: Now acting like a phishing scam.
Some of the annoying features that have always been there with Blogger seem accentuated now: E.g. You sign in and have a terrible time figuring out where your unmoderated comments are. So far I've navigated pretty well, but I'm not happy.
