Michael Card--"Walking on the Water"

Via Eldest Daughter, here is a fun bluegrass-style song from Michael Card. It's about the Apostle Peter and is called "Walking on the Water." (I haven't figured out how to embed from this site yet. It isn't as simple as Imeem.) If you like country music, bluegrass, etc., you'll like it. I'm also told, by ED herself, that the banjo in this number is played by none other than Bela Fleck, and if that doesn't get you over to listen to it, you don't like banjo.

Well, whaddaya know: Thanks to Bill Luse, who helped me do the embed.

who's Bela Fleck?

A famous banjo player. Extremely good. We aren't knowledgeable about these things but have a CD (Christmas present a few years ago) called _Perpetual Motion_ that is just incredible. He took all these classical pieces written for totally different instruments and figured out how to play them on the banjo. It was amazing.

I like the song pretty well, btw.

Good. I figure it's a genre thing. If you like that kind of fast-picking, easy-going bluegrass music, you'll like it. If not, not. Jeff Culbreath, if you're reading this, you'd like it too.

Did you remove the embed or does grooveshark change the link so that it goes bad after a few days? The one I put up is also gone.

Didn't touch it. Must be only temporary.
